The faculty of Science at Mwenge Catholic University was established with the aim of encouraging innovation to young scholars in the community. The motive behind the establishment was the shortage of teachers in secondary schools that pushed the initiations of the faculty for preparing competent and committed teachers; recently the faculty is diversifying to other field of natural sciences, agriculture and environmental issues.

- 1. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics
Entry Requirements
– Two principal passes in Advanced Mathematics and one of the following subjects: History, Kiswahili, English Language, French, Arabic, Fine Art, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Agriculture, Computer Science or Nutrition.
Or
– Diploma in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics or Education with Mathematics as a teaching subject with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0.2. Bachelor of Science in Computer ScienceEntry Requirements
– Two principal passes in the following subjects: Geography, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Mathematics, Agriculture or Computer Science
Or
– Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication Engineering with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0.3. Bachelor of Science in General ChemistryEntry Requirements
– Two principal passes at a minimum of “D” grade in Chemistry and in one of the following subjects: Geography, Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture, Computer Science or Nutrition.
