This programme is for all those interested in the various areas of biology, ranging from Microbiology, cellular Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology and Genetics, Biomedicine, Environmental and Agricultural Biology. Unlike a very broad-based, general biology degree at a university, this programme course will offer specific biological and technical knowledge which is of essential significance for industrial applications. In doing so our teaching is highly interdisciplinary aimed at giving a student insights into the many different areas of application of biology, and at the same time, a high level of problem-solving capability.

Principally, the student will have an opportunity to combine a degree in biology with another degree in real life application of the knowledge acquired. In so doing, the Applied Biology degree at Mwenge Catholic University, is a strongly interdisciplinary programme. A research project during final year will accord the students more opportunity to practice Science writing and give additional openings to practice the knowledge gained in class. During the training, students will have an exposure to major on issues facing sustainability of human populations and natural resources.
